Tongariro by Callum Parsons is a case study on our 8th largest national park. Shooting both B&W and colour film Callum offers a unique look at Tongariro. Away from the typical promo shots we see for '100% Pure NZ' this look shows us a more 'honest' side of the national park. Shot over a couple of seasons this year you get a sense of Tongariro's size and majesty.
This zine is a collection of photos shot from various trips to Tongariro National Park over this year. It’s an appreciation for the landscape and it’s hidden details you may find while exploring the area. I wanted my photos to feel as if you’ve gone on a trip and discovered something meaningful.
